A dental tooth cleaning is the process by which preventive dental care is provided to avoid dental emergencies. It is recommended by the American Dental Association that you have a professional cleaning at least twice a year in addition to the everyday maintenance you do at home.
At home, dental oral hygiene is fundamental in maintaining good oral and overall health, but you alone cannot remove the tartar that builds up over time. It takes regular professional teeth cleanings to do that. Contact an Aava Dental professional
to schedule an appointment
for teeth cleaning
Why Do I Need a Teeth Cleaning?
Over time, tartar builds up on the teeth. Without regular cleanings the tartar can form below the gum line; bacteria can invade and create a number of other dental problems.
Furthermore, it is almost impossible to get all the surfaces and areas between the teeth and under the gum line, a regular basis with daily at-home teeth cleaning. It takes professional teeth cleaning to reach all the areas necessary to maintain good oral health.
professional teeth cleaning
twice a year reduces plaque and tartar, which is a major factor in the development of tooth decay. Professional teeth cleanings
can also help prevent gingivitis, as well as more serious diseases involving the gums and teeth.
Regular professional teeth cleanings will enable your Aava Dental professional
to address problems that even regular teeth cleanings at home can miss.

Dental Crowns are a way to fill gaps if you have any missing or damaged teeth. Crowns can help you chew better which can impact your digestive system. It helps restore the tooth to its normal shape, size, and function.
Reasons you would need a dental crown:
- If you have a cavity that is too large for fillings
- If you need to cover dental implants
- If you have a missing tooth
- If you have a tooth that is cracked or weak
- If you have had root canal treatment
- If you want to cover a discolored tooth
Crowns are made from a combination of metal alloys, ceramics, porcelain, and composite resin. It is colored to blend in with your natural teeth. At Aava dental, we make sure the crowns look natural and feel comfortable.
How is a crown being placed?
During crown placement, two dental visits are usually needed.
- The Dentist removed the outer portion and decay so the crown will fit
- An impression of the tooth is made to provide an exact model for the crown
- You will have a temporary crown while you wait for the permanent crown to be made
- When the customized crown is made, the dentist cements the crown in place
A dental bridge is a replacement tooth or teeth that fill the space when one or more teeth are missing. The bridge helps restore your bite, keeps the natural shape of your mouth, and holds your teeth in place.
Teeth are made to work together when you have a missing tooth. The teeth can change into an empty space. A bridge helps prevent so it does not shift your jaw, teeth, affect your bite, or possibly cause pain.
When a tooth is missing, the bone may shrink which will change the jawbone, lips, and cheeks. As other teeth move, it can be harder to clean, which will put you at risk for tooth decay and gum diseases
Our dentist prepares and examines the teeth on both sides of the gap to attach the bridge to the teeth. then we take impressions of your teeth to create a bridge. A temporary bridge is placed while the permanent bridge is being customized for your mouth. When it is ready, our dentist will fit, adjust, and cements the bridge to the bridge on the teeth
